Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—THINK about such things.
This beautiful passage teaches us on the power of setting an intention in our lives. What is setting an intention? It is you setting a map at the start of your day of where you want to Go. The word 'Think' in this passage means to "to say." It also means "thought in his heart." This is the art of setting an intention. When you set an intention, you are mentally deliberating and speaking over your life for what you believe God can do today.
Here are some things we should consider when setting an intention:
Intentions are of Good- Our Father has every desire to bless each of us with the best of him every day, so our intention should always be set from a place of, whatever is right, pure, lovely, and admirable.
Intentions lift the power of agreement- The bible tells us that when two or three agree on earth, anything we ask for shall be given. Your intention is set on the notion that what you say is in alignment with God's perfect will for your life. This ensures the manifestation of your intentions.
Intentions are believed- According to scripture whatever we say in prayer, believe that we will receive it and it shall be given. You can not set an intention that you do not believe in.
So, today my challenge for you is that you create a space in your morning where you are setting an intention before God. My intentions today are that I will walk in my most creative self today!
